Course Objective<\/td>\nThis course aims to provide concepts of ICT, computer systems, and effective usage of the Internet for knowledge gathering, along with hands-on practice in desktop publishing.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

  • Data representation: various number system, integer and floating point number representation, negative number representation, binary addition and subtraction, 2\u2019s complement representation and its arithmetic operation<\/li>\n
  • Hardware: Motherboard, I\/O ports, expansion slots and cards, central processing unit, arithmetic and logic unit, registers, types of memory, types of secondary storage devices<\/li>\n
  • digital circuit design: gates, truth table, Boolean expression, Boolean algebra, Karnaugh map<\/li>\n
  • Computer Networks: Data transmission, types of networks, network topologies, transmission media, network devices<\/li>\n
